Seasonal change in underwear preference?

I've noticed over the past few weeks I've been wearing boxers or going commando more and more. I usually wear briefs or trunks/boxer briefs. The transition is coinciding with the change to winter weather. Does anyone here feel the need to change your amount of ball support with the seasons?

not ball support, but material. I wear light fabric boxers in the summer and boxer-briefs in the winter

Somewhat, but like with Markitect I tend to go by the temperature.

I have big thighs, so during hot weather, if I have boxer briefs on, it chafes, so definitely during the hotter weather, I wear briefs. In the winter or if it's cool out, it really doesn't matter. Either briefs or boxer briefs. I don't care for boxers, and don't like to go commando. My nuts flop around too much.

I tend to stay consistent year round. I wear trunks almost all the time, the only difference is in summer I tend to freeball more around the house.

I've switched to boxers since it got cold. Been a while since I wore them - mainly a briefs guy.
