Sorry but I wanna SCREAM when I see words like "force themselves" to pay their bills. It made me wanna scream on that MTV show where one guy bemoaned about how gross it was but he had to do it he needed the money etc. They may be desperate BUT they made a choice and it was the EASY one (to them) by comparison.
I moved to LA knowing no one, rented a room from an old dude in WeHo who climbed into my bed one night and tried to rape a 19yo me and I kicked him off. He put my duffel bag with all I owned on the screen porch and locked me out and refused to give my money back.
I wound up sleeping on the floor in the garage (no water no electricity) of a guy who worked at French Market.
