Last July our friend @TurkishFella posted a discussion thread about dating when you're HIV positive. (link: Dating when you're hiv+ ) I thought it was really great to see this community offer words and advice to support him. I remember telling him that the progress made in treating people who are HIV positive suggests that a cure will one day be possible. Today I was delighted to see the news that a SECOND person has been cleared of the HIV virus further demonstrating that a cure is in our future. I can not wait for the day this planet is free of such a horrible disease. I put a link to the story below.

Hi @AMTZ410213 , thank you so much for your kind words and sharing the news here. Yes, it’s definitely an amazing improvement. I hope one day in our life time they will find a cure for this disease.

I’ll be fine as long as I take my tablet everyday. I am ok dealing with this, for me the most difficult thing is the stigma. I shared what I’ve been through before. Since then I haven’t had anything like that. However what generally happens is that I started a conversation with a guy because we’re a match (on chappy app), it all goes smoothly until I mention that I am UD positive. Then some of them unmatch, but the majority of them says that’s fine and slowly fade away. So at the end I know that it’s because of my status. I don’t know, maybe one day I can find mr right or live alone. Anyways, thank you so much for bringing up this here ❤️
