You post to a thread simply expressing your views, opinions, tenets etc and along come these self-richeous irritants who all too often know little about the subject in hand, they can't win an argument for love nor money and turn rude and often offensive. Many of these are those who do not fully participate in the sites activities and in particular do not post pics. Oh yes I'm a bit peeved although in general I like LPSG a lot.

Things happen. My usual is to state what I believe and think, if others agree that is fine, if they don't, well now, then that is their right. If they start off on an attacking tirade, I usually try not to respond-though I have been known to return fire. Most boards have the twits who use rudeness as a way of compensating for their ignorance-don't let it eat you up. Realize it is their own inferiority and lack of self-worth which make them behave so childishly (and churlishly as well).

*resists* OK I can't, but it's not done with malice if that counts for anything

Do you mean self-righteous maybe not self-richeous?

Yes, some people hold irritating opinions, some want to share. There's a variation and degree where one is often like the other.

You don't need to read those postings, if you don't like them.

Recall or discover that the word "opinion" contains the word onion within it.

It either smell and makes your eyes water, or you can discover many layers of meaning.

    It's up to you.

Interesting you just mentioned this when I was getting ready to post a thread on George Bush and the endless array of dolts here writing lies and/or other misinformation about him!

My intent is educating them with reality but like you mentioned there will be a fair share that walk away still in there delusional la-la land because thatÂ’s where they want too and enjoy living. Sometimes its kinda fun watching their wacky tizzy-fits along the way though!

It comes with the territory Josh. The medium gives people a chance to spout off without consequences. There are a lot of opinions on this site I respect even if they differ from mine and a few who are total fuckwads. I tend to just skip the fuckwads.

As Einstein said- "The height of stupidity is most clearly demonstrated by the individual who ridicules something he knows nothing about."

As far as LPSG goes, I actually notice a lot of flaming without flame-baiting. It's like someone says something relatively harmless, but you can bet your ass another will come along and kick up a stink about it. Almost like people are saying "let me take the most possible offense to this, even though it's more or less universally innocuous." Sometimes I wonder about these folks. Like, do they not have enough arguments going on in real life so they feel the need to push the envelope on the internet? Must be nice. I can't imagine going to such great lengths (ie. purposely misunderstanding and twisting things around) in order to get pissed off with a bunch of strangers online. Maybe it's just because fights boost your post count. Either way, it doesn't make much sense.
