From the Adult Video News website:

Saying the coming election could decide if there is a massive government assault on adult entertainment, Free Speech Coalition has opened September with a push to mobilize the adult Internet to keep their “erotic interests” in mind and prod each other and their member bases to register and get out the vote in November.

"If the current administration, with a Justice Department headed by a fundamentalist minister, is re-elected in November, the adult industry will face federal prosecutors under orders to cripple this industry,” said FSC Legislative Affairs Director Kat Sunlove announcing the new initiative.

“They will be armed with mandatory five-year penalties for a paperwork error under U.S.C. Title 18, Section 2257, the federal adult material record-keeping and labeling law newly enlarged to include Webmasters,” Sunlove continued. “The last time we saw this level of attack against our industry, thirty of our colleagues were arrested for obscenity, lost their businesses and some even went to prison. We must prevent this from happening again."

You know, I wonder about that. The Republicans are getting blasted (not enough) in their targeting of 'obscenity' for months after September 11 and not going after suspected terrorists on US soil. Maybe it won't be so bad, since they'll lose anyway (praying to unknown gods).

Things were better under Reno. She knew porn wasn't the problem and instead bombed Waco. Hah. Those lesbians crack me up. :D Just kidding of course, but I did like Reno.

I am not really impressed with any of the candidates that are running for president. However as long as Bush doesn't get re-elected I will be happy.

I recently moved back to Texas,
    after 5 years in NYC.
It was exciting and different for
me to live somewhere so open minded,
    and sophisticated, where
people read so much, and were so well informed
on all sides of an issue.

Now I am back in my native state,
    the Bible belt,
and not a liberal in sight.
I'm in a town where parents want to ban
    Halloween because it is evil,
and they shun Harry Potter for the same reason....
    WITCHCRAFT.
Bill Clinton's book sold very poorly here...
almost the poorest sales in the country,
and on a daily basis, the store where i work
has umpteen requests for UNFIT FOR COMMAND,
and demand that any and all
liberal books be banned and burned.
Yes, i hear this comment on a daily basis at work, folks.
    Sheesh.

The unsophisticated bigots are out in full force
    where i am,
    and
    even the gay community
    is conservative.
If this poll were being taken here,
Bush would win by a landslide.Oh,
    excuse me,
    DUBBYA.
    ;)

Thanks for the URL reference, Mark. I wish it could be widely distributed for some of these die hard Republicans to read. George Wrong is an embarressment to the human race.

I love Bill Maher. He was on Conan last night. He said it's disgraceful that the American public has been duped into groupthink by GWB.... "can't they see that one is a decorated war veteran and the other eats library paste?"

It's unfortunate that this "Dawn of the Dead" effect may influence who becomes president.

    Re: "practicing their love".

Q: Are you a practicing homosexual?

A: No, I'm already quite good at it.
