Mine only ride up if they're not put on symmetrically (i.e. the seam is slightly off-centre), as movement causes twisting. If I feel them riding up, straightening things out in the gents once usually sorts it for the rest of the day.

Failing that, go commando.

For a couple years, I have been wearing Undergear's "Body Tech" bikini briefs. The pouch is plenty big, and the wide waistband stays put. I wear them inside out, so the seam doesn't rub my dick and 'cause it's good luck to wear one item of clothing inside out.

(they cost less than Andrew Christian, which may be more durable but are a lot more expensive...)

I have wide legs and a narrow waist and have had problems with ill fitting underwear (and jeans, fucking jeans) for years.

The best boxer briefs I've found for not riding up are the CK cycle shorts. They're expensive and have very long legs which tend not to bunch. I've tried a 2 or 3 brands of trunks since and had absolutely 0 luck. They promptly turned into very bunched up thongs.

When I was a good deal younger I switched away from briefs because they dug into my inner and upper thighs. Is there a particular cut of briefs that seems to be more generously cut through the legs or is this one where you have to spend money trying things?

Thanks dude, was actually thinking about trying trunks before briefs. Are any of these in store?

Trunks are definitely a way to go, but while they won't ride in the crack, they often dig in between the butt and thigh.
Whether it has a back seam or not it pulls up in the middle by the waist band, and guys like us with butts and legs that band will go way up.
To counter that most boxer briefs will have counter seams on, or just outside the seat of the pant, the only problem is even with the way they are cut the material breaks in, and they will still ride.
What I've found that works are the underwear with butt support.
Mainly designed to be the butt equivalent to the wander bra they lift up the butt to make it look bigger (something we don't need) but, the sewn in straps do prevent them from pulling inward and giving wedgies.
The Andrew Christian Flashlift line , or the Clever boxer (and is a lot less showy) manage this. There is another brand that I didn't get a chance to pic up but I haven't seen it around again since.
While not cheap at least they aren't $50 a pair.
