I have a friend who is interested in not being able to have a hard on at all. He wants an inflicted erectional stand still. He doesn't want to do the female hormones because there is too much risk and he does want to have children eventually.

Has anyone tried or is using drugs to achieve this?

No way, - what wrong with a hardon.

I don't have problems, but would consider taking drugs to keep my hardon longer or more often.

But to take some to stop this mad ... WHY???

anti depressants are the best sex drive/hard-on killers out there.....either that or tell the guy to start putting salt peter in his food....is there a particular reason that he wants to stop getting erections?

There are various chemicals (one man's drug is another pharmacist's $50) that urologists inject into the fatty tissue around the stomach that will temporarily prevent the production of testosterone in me (and women). Depending upon the chemical and dosage the effects can last for 1 to 6 months. During which time your friend will not only be unable to achieve a woody, but will have absolutely no hormonal induced libido whatsoever. They also use these same chemicals to chemically castrate habitual sex offenders in progressive countries.

One thing is certain, if he does get a physician to administer this stuff, his level of concentration will increase geometrically.

He feels his drive is too high and he spends far too much time masturbating. He went as far as to buy a chastity device but he finds it hard to sleep because he gets hard at night.

We need names of drugs, we tried google search but the one that we were looking into had a list of so many negative outcomes it wasn't worth it.

He isn't depressed though, he would have to see a psychiatrist to get a hold of those.. but he doesn't want that.. He's a bad liar and could talk about the erection problem, but not make up one about depression.

How old is the guy, cause if hes still quite young, it is quite normal to be masturbating 3, 4 or 10 times, whilst in teens and sometimes even early twenties... Some people have a high sex drive, don't try to stop it. Enjoy it whilst he can, as he gets older it will lessen.

He needs to have sexy before he sleeps, or or jack off, a few times, whats wrong with that.

Look, you've already proved you don't know where I'm coming from. So stay out of it. He isn't a teen and he isn't in his young 20's and he doesn't want to have sex or masturbate before bed. Wrap your mind around it okay, because not everyone thinks like you.

I still had a sex drive and still got hard while on Paxil, but it took me hours to orgasm. I ended up being a total dud in bed. I went back to Zoloft, which is also an SSRI, but doesn't have that effect on me.

Name of drug? Try Goserolin or Goserilin. That's what I have scribbled in my personal medical notes from the day I received an injection from my urologist. It stopped testosterone production which, in turn, stopped the progress of State 1 prostate cancer. It may exist under a different name on Google in English. My urologist is in Buenos Aires.

EDIT: It also eliminated any sex drive, whatsoever, for a good 6 months.

I'm not sure what drugs are usede for it, but chemical castration sounds like what he's looking for. It's usually used on institutionalized men who have psychosocial/psychosexual problems severe enough to warrant its use.

This is actually a legitimate medical problem so there's definitely no need to make up some side-story about depression. Feeling constantly oversexed is no joke and I used to know a guy who had this issue. He'd always be feeling bothered and unsatisfied no matter what he did. Your friend should know that it's okay to see a doctor about it because there are specific meds that can suppress the part of his brain that's getting too much stimulation. I can't imagine that you'd get those prescription-free anywhere though, even in Canada.

L tryptophan can induce sleep and decrease libido. I was using it for sleep, but I was nudged by my wife a few times before going to sleep and noticed I had a soft one. My mind was willing, the interest was there, I loved the touching, but the most important thing was limp.

Skullcap was recommended by one woman (she wanted to find some) to decrease her libido. I'm sure in herbal textbooks there would be others.

I'd need to locate my Jethro Kloss book BACK TO EDEN for the other entries.

    That sounds a bit extreme.

It's worth noting that hormonal treatments ("chemical castration") often ordered for sex offenders aren't good options for people who are sexually compulsive. The hormones tend to erase desire completely instead of bringing it under control.

There are herbal tonics that maybe useful. It could be useful to talk a practitioner of Chinese medicine. Acupuncture can help as well.

    Good luck TK

Any of the SSRI anti-depressants would work...but there are side effects.....seems like EXTREME measures........did he ever consider good old fashioned therapy?

A google search doesn't reveal much. A lot of confusing ads and conflicts. Not too many people have websites or information about slowing down the drive.

Still, kava can work, melatonin and l-tryptophan can all induce deep sleep.
