Hey, just want you guy’s opinion here. I am a gay male, 37, involved with a man (also 37). We have been dating for a year and then moved in together end of last year. I love sex, and would do it every day, even 2,3,4 times a day, but for him once a week is fine. Is this normal, especially taking into account that is not eve a year.

I'm so sorry! I'm not a guy, but I've experienced the problem of dating someone with a lower sex drive than me a few times.

Different people just have different sex drives. That can cause a lot of problems in relationships if you feel unappreciated or unfulfilled sexually. When I was in my early twenties I dated a man in his early thirties whose sex drive was lower than mine is now, and now I'm older than he was when we were dating. I really loved him, but we just weren't compatible because of our different sex drives and sexual tastes, even though we seemed to be perfect for one another in every other way. I ended disastrously for me.

Yep I'm in a relantionship just like that. I love my guy dearly however he rarely initiates sex. When we do have sex its once or twice a month, sometimes more but not usually. I could have sex a few times a day and be perfectly happy. I agree with Petite some of us just have different sex drives. It's hard when you are compatiable in other ways and not in a sexual way.

I have a high sex drive. Side effect of my bipolar. I've been with guys that don't have as high sex drive. If I really like the guy and I need to get off and he's not up for it, I have about 50 gigabytes of porn and a vivid imagination. Point is, the other guy may become nervous about the relationship if you suggest an open one. It's not for everyone.
