They did it on purpose. The show is mocking US Teen TV/Movies (that's why while the settings, actors and accents are British, the school looks very American). And the 80/90s costume is an homage to John Hughes movies and other 80/90s teen movies
I agree he's got a gorgeous butt too.
Thought it was great. Laughed the whole way through it and even shed a tear along with the difficult moments. Felt awful for Aimee after her incident and Maeve for how she had to end things in the season. But it completely topped the 1st season. Cant wait to see how they top season 3.
