i dont post often but i really need 2 ask something!

heres the thing....i have been with my partner for nearly 3 months now, this is the first partner i have had so i lost my virginity to him....this is all by the by, the problem is, i have been having sex with him (anal) up until about 2 weeks ago....he became ill with the winter bug so we couldnt have sex. last week we both wanted to have sex but he said he was too sore...down there when i tried. so we left it until last nite, we tried again but he said he wos too sore

is there any advise people could give? is this normal to happen?
