I find those lovely accents mostly in movies, and learn to ape them one line at the time. One of my favourites are from Rob Roy, have you seen it?

No, Boston accents usually omit the "r" sound....like "I drove my cah to the Waaaahl Maht. There's really no British inflection- it's more brusque

Speaking as a UK man the best accent is bad far a Scottish one, esp Glasgow or Fife - it's broad, rough and masculine. Worst is Birmingham, UK.

Atlantic Canada was mentioned twice here, but not as being particularly sexy.... I can't imagine why... Down here on the south shore in Nova Scotia We talk right some good here, there you! Even the newfies can't understand us! New englanders taught German settlers how to speak English. The result is odd to say the least.
