I would like to finally put an end to the Str8 men don't suck cock debate.

I would like to do this by Re-classifying some things.

Alot of people seem to confuse words like homosexuality and gay and heterosexual and str8.... these words are not the same.

Gay = Gay identifying ie. Some-one that identifies with gay culture and lifestyle

Homosexual = Some-one that engages in same sex intercourse

Str8 = Some-one that identifies with Str8 culture and lifestyle

Heterosexual = Some-one that engages in heterosexual intercourse.

So you see it is entirely possible for some-one that identifies with str8 culture to engage in homosexual sex and likewise totally possible for some-one who identifies with gay culture and lifestyle to engage in heterosexual sex

In fact if you look around this board you will find men and women that are

    Gay but married with children
Str8 but having same sex intercourse on the side
Bisexual but in a steady relationship with some-one of the oppisite gender
Bisexual but having a relationship with some-one of the same gender

So in conclusion i'd just like to say that it might be worthwhile to change add a second classification on here that says Homosexual vs Heterosexual that way one will describe a persons sexual habbits the other describes thier lifestyle

I would add that technically "homosexual" and "heterosexual" should refer to activities and not people. A man sucking a cock is behaving homosexually but is not necessarily preferring other men as sex partners. He may or may not be gay. He may or may not engage in more homosexual activities than heterosexual ones.

Sexual orientation is is not exclusively categorical, i.e. it isn't "either/or", it can be both or neither. It is not judged or decided by one isolated episode of sexual activity - or even several.

No, just stating the obvious I think. Unfortunately, there will still be those hard-ass straight heterosexuals and likewise gay homosexuals who will insist in having sole propriety of such classifications and terminologies.

I have a better idea. Why not just stop classifying people altogether? Where does this need to stereotype and pigeon-hole other people come from anyway? I would advise everyone to simply get rid of the damned labels and get on with your lives.

    Really nicely put! Well done.

It reminds me of gender as opposed to sex. Whereby individuals can be

Identify as male (gender) but born female (sex).
Identify as female (gender) but born male (sex).
Identify as male (gender) and born male (sex).
Identify as female (gender) and born female (sex).
Identify as male or female (gender) and born intersex (sex).

    Or any other possible arrangement.

And if I'm understanding you correctly, you're proposing a similar structure for sexuality. Whereby individuals can be

Identify as gay (relating to gender concept) and only engage in same-sex sex (sexuality).
Identify as gay (relating to gender concept) and engage in same-sex and opposite-sex sex (sexuality).
Identify as straight (relating to gender concept) and only engage in opposite-sex sex (sexuality).
Identify as straight (relating to gender concept) and engage in opposite-sex and same-sex sex (sexuality).

Or any of the configurations in between...

on a side note, I believe I read Australia now has sex choice identities listed as:
    Male
    Female
    Unspecified

    That's cool and progressive.

Unfortunately, this was overturned shortly after it was accepted. So we're not as progressive as we'd hope to be. Still... protests are taking place. Hopefully we fix the problem up...

Yes, that is a very good idea, but if people insist on labels, maybe a compromising idea would be for them to say who they are looking for or who they are interested in: a woman, a man, both, or either, etc...

I know, I know, this is not a dating site, but itmight work better this way, because you'd be avoiding definitive labels.
