Have you ever been asked to do something sexual in order to get a job, keep a job? I would think most if not all businesses have sexual harassment laws in place at their companies. But I’m sure this still happens.

And does it happen at every level or just with people who are in higher positions thinking they’ll never get in trouble because of their high position, or they can cover it up.

It's probably happening a lot less now days. With all the social media and #metoo stuff, you would have to be plain stupid to even try.

I think I've experience some things that could be considered harassment, but I didn't really consider them harassment. An HR department would have a problem with it, but I didn't, so I'm not sure I could call that harassment. I was always too oblivious to understand what was being proposed to me, that's probably still true today.

The worst harassment I have experienced, at least in the workplace, came from other men, and really only one man that I can think of.

Like what harassment have you received from men in the work place?

Nothing I really wish to discuss here. It's in the past. He was a morbidly obese person who was the same age as me, mid twenties, who was probably extremely sad about what he was and had no outlet other than being mean to people who didn't deserve it. He basically said I was a woman and gay, neither of which I think are bad, but his implication was insulting.

So sorry, some people are just too miserable for words.

I have had several women say and do stuff that would have gotten any man who did it fired.

One day the married receptionist in my office said as I was walking by her work station "I am going to have to take you shopping so we can get you some tighter pants." LMAO

Another time she said "You have a nice butt, you really should wear tighter pants." haha

She was always slapping me on the ass as I walked past her in the hallway.

She also used to come in my office and stand behind me and massage my neck and shoulders.
One time when she was doing this she reached down and felt my junk through my pants and said "Mmmmm Nice one!"

Back in the day, I would have said "why can't I find a job at a place like that?". Nowadays I think we can see how wrong this really is.

Yes I have had my share of harassment in the work place. Mainly from men, but from women too.

More often than not I have been propositioned by married men or guys with girl friends.

Idk maybe it was the way my clothes fit. I always thought it was a little strange that other men were looking at or slapping my ass or telling me what they'd like to do to my ass. Now did I actually have sex with any of them?

Yes, although on balance, I'm pretty sure my looks and build have played a big part in my rapid career advancement.

I had one boss who was married and I assume bisexual. He not-so-subtly hit on me over drinks one night after work. Luckily I was able to get promoted out of his clutches before it became too awkward.

While I was still there, however, he hired a friend of his as temporary help. He was young, fairly good-looking and married. At the department Christmas party, this guy persistently put the make on me, wanting me to go home with him and his wife. I kept putting him off as best I could. We were in the buffet line when he repeated his proposition. Lowering my voice, I finally equivocated, "Maybe later." Louie A., an older curmudgeon in our department, turned and barked, "What's this 'later'?" At the time it was mortifying, but looking back it always cracks me up.
