A chemical in the brain controls sexual preference in mice, according to scientists in China.

BBC News - Sexual preference chemical found in mice

I smell another genetic meddling etc idea brewing here, for those who wish to rid the world of every sexual preference, barring being strait.

When will folks, just learn to leave stuff like this well alone, and just let things be as they are?

It would be chemical meddling; not genetic meddling.

And people have been on anti-depressants / serotonin increasers/decreasers for decades and it hasn't changed their orientation.

The article says not to make any assumptions about human sexuality.

The article is only interesting if you care about the sexual relations of mice.

^ thank you. serotonin is not exactly some esoteric, newly found chemical. we are nowhere near the point where evil people will be able to chemically induce heterosexuality in every human.

sexual preference in drosophila (fruit flies) can also be controlled (genetically), but obviously fruit flies are not humans. the mystery of human sexual orientation is far from being solved.
