Hi,

Just for a bit of light hearted entertainment my flat mates and I were working out our average shags per month. To do this we worked out how many months it had been since losing our virginities and then working out the number of people we had slept with.

Once those 2 numbers were worked out we divided the number of people slept with by the number of months hence giving the average shags per month.

For example. I lost my virginity when I was 16, I am no 20 so that is 48 months. I have slept with 13 people so dividing 13 by 48 gives me an average shags per month of 0.270833

Just wondering what other peoples shags per month are??
Hey I was not a math major in college but as a computer tech I am fascinated with performance numbers....so here is an answer with a few "twists" ( no pun intended )

virginity loss age 16 current mature age 59 difference 43 x 12 = 512

age range 16-19 2 0.003875
age range 20-29 12 0.023937
age range 30-39 1 0.001953
age range 40-49 1 0.001953
age range 50-59 8 0.015625

overall age total 24 0.046875

oh and most of these reflected married relationship and/or quality over a quantity relationships not one night stands

I've yet to lose my virginity, so theoretically this is a negative number...

I've slept with zero people

(0/n) = 0

Where n is a number less than 0.

I was going to make a divide by zero arguement for the time, arguing that my ratio approaches infinity despite all logic, but I played along.

um.
sorry to pick your maths to pieces, but its just too hard to bear.
the ratio would only approach infinity if it were a very small number, for instance, 0.000000000000000001 of a month.

as it stands, using 0, that gives you 0/0, which rather than being infinite, is actually indeterminate, which means that you, nor anyone else, has any idea how many shags per month you get.

and because you're working in theory, your equation should read

(0+k)/n=? as you're working on the assumption that n months later you will lose your virginity, hence you need a number (k) to fit that assumption.

so your shags per month ratio is actually k/-n.

so who k/-nows.

knowit.

P.S. don't mess with the kids who studied calculus.

P.P.S. I failed caclulus so there's bound to be an error in my logic somewhere.

I had the same problem in Calculus... Is it position or distance? because distance is always positive and position can go either way...

Obviously, I'm just padding my post count. Feel free to ignore me.
