The Sisters are more than just drag queens, they're a charity organization foremost and even though seem like a fraternity, they have members that are straight and/or female as well. Funny enough, The Sisters are on the list of known heretics put out by the Vatican in Rome.

People who are offended by the image should get over themselves. God doesn't care, I'm sure he's having a good laugh about it. I mean, s/he's got a great sense of humor, how else would you explain the irony of his followers killing each other over the interpretation of his word when he never wrote anything down.

It's parody, right? Satire? Usually both of these are used to make some point, and I'm not sure what the point is. I guess I missed it.

As a person of faith myself, I don't see what the outrage is. Logically, it is poking fun not at Christ, but at the DaVinci painting. Emotionally, this image attempts to push some hot buttons, but it just doesn't with me (so the pathos appeal is lost on this guy.)

I'm usually quite good at this interpretive stuff since it is how I make my living. Help me out here 'cause I just done't get this one.

There's an intersting story about the selection of that poster. Every year, there is a contest where artists submit entries, one of which is selected as the official poster art. However, this year the official poster is not the contest winner. Instead, the fair organizers chose to use the "Last Supper" theme, and discarded the contest-winning design.

They issued a press release concerning the actual poster, in which they say that henceforth they want to make the posters parodies of well-known art.

For those of you who are not familiar with the organization responsible for the OP's quoted article, you really should do yourself a favor and check out the website for Concerned Women for America. They are about as nutjob a group as you will find.

Their basic tenets are: homosexuals are a privileged, oppressive class whose sole purpose is to target helpless, innocent christians;

A woman's purpose in life is to pop out babies for her husband.

The United States should be a christian theocracy.

Anyone who has differing beliefs should be utterly crushed.
