I've been keeping my low hanging sack shaved for years. I do do about every other day in the shower and virtually never have a problem. The bodygroom also works pretty well. I keep the pubs trimmed quite short as well. Less sweat, less potential odor, and every woman I have met finds it very HOT!

Shaved is great. I like bar soap - no burn. I do lift 'em up kinda tight so I can get a close shave and then skip it for a few days.
