I honestly don't care if he shaves or doesn't shave down there. However, I prefer a smoothe face and can't stand the feel of stubble in the least when kissing. I know that's pretty weird, but that's just my preference.
For me I generally keep my balls shaved smooth and my pubes scissor trimmed short. I'm pretty much hairless on my body, some leg and arm hair, no chest, none on thighs, stomach, chest, back. Have to shave my face about twice a week.
I prefer the feel of trimmed pubes. Shaved it all off, felt kind of hot, looked kind of funny.
For me, anything that typically has hair, then has none looks odd. Totally smooth guys...eh, sometimes it works, usually looks funny.

I have mixed feelings about being shaved. I love the smooth feel, but I dislike the look of no hair around my dick. I like to shave all the hair on my balls and shaft and just a smidge on my pubes, and then trim the pubes short.
How other people rock off their pubes doesn't really matter to me, I'm more concerned with other body hair..

I started shaving a good 20 years ago. I was always curious about it (after studies of tribal African groups) and thought it looked pretty cool. And I had always trimmed it, but never dared to go all the way bare until one time I said, fuck it... and never looked back. For me it was THE way to go.
For one, the climate where I live is hot and sticky wet humid during the summer. All that hair down there (and I had lots of it and very curly) just added to the heat the sweat and the discomfort. Made one feel crummy. Now it's SO much cooler and easier to keep cleaner and perspiration free without all of that shitty hair, and I like the look.
I shave my public area and keep it that way because I happen to like it. And that's that.
