No shaving bottoms ever. It will irritate your skin and you will get butt zits and potentially ingrown hairs. Not pretty Waxing is the better option. You can't do it alone but you'll get the porn star baby smooth ass you always wanted.

Try using clippers first and see if you like the results. If you don't, go have your ass waxed as Chris suggested. Believe me, if it's a decent salon, they've see it all...even drag queens getting their packages waxed.

I've done the same thing for the past three years and, other than an initial irritation when I first started, I've had no problems

I would get waxed...done it many times. I know what you mean about being embarrassed. I sure was the first time I had my butt and groins areas waxed. Actually it was my whole body.
I found my professional wax guy by searching on the web. Do a search for mens waxing in your area. You should be able to find some that way. When I found mine, I first asked him all the questions I had. Through emails, then once I was satisfied that he was the one. I made my appointment. The rest was smoothness all the way. I had to have my pubes and asscrack shaved for surgey some years ago and have been doing it ever since (I really liked the feel and look of it). I have never had any irritation. As long as you shave IN the direction that the hair grows, you should be fine.

If you'd be uncomfortable with having someone do it for you (which gives you an excuse to get naked in front of a stranger and have warm honeyed goo rubbed on your fanny - followed by stinging pain)... but if this doesn't appeal I would suggest going to the pharmacy and buying a depilatory cream (commonly referred to as nair). Read the packaging, they shouldn't be used in your crack or on your erstwhile nether bits but will be fine for use on your sub-cheeks.

I don't recommend trimmers as the reach and countour makes it somewhat dificult and I don't think you will get the results you are looking for - further trimmer blades can sometimes pinch.

I tried shaving my ass 2 day in the shower...lol im not that flex able so I couldnt reach the right spots..lol.. so i brought a large container of wather with me in my room and layed infront of my mirror and lifted my leg and shaved that way.. its so much eaiser...

I put on leg up on the side of the tub railing while in the shower. I've shaved myself enough to do it rather easily now.
