SRV524: This could get a little messy, so bear with me :)
I started shaving my pubes around early Sept. and I usually do it when the hair starts to bother me (usually on the 6th day or so). I shaved the top area, balls, underneath, sides and the dick part but I haven't gotten into a routine (some posts I've read have ppl saying they do it every morning). The trouble with me is that I jsut tried to shave this morning after 2 days, and I had a rash so when I shaved I cut open some pores and started bleeding (the rash is only on the top part above the dick). Is there anything I can use to stop the bleeding and build into a more routine structure?
I use Gillette Mach 3 turbo with gel because you guys said it was the most sensitive razor and gel to use for shaving pubes. I wasn't sure if I should invest in that one razor I saw on tv (the one where it's sound waves vibrating and it's safe and it looks like a pen and stuff) because it might be harmful. So any ideas on how to stop the rashes from coming? It's actually a rash, but then a small pimple or two and the rash goes away after about 5 days or so but the pimple usually stays there and when I shave it doesnt bother me.
Second question is.......how do I go about trimming my legs and chest area? I shave my pubes, but then I have my hairy legs and sorta hairy stomach and chest and it just doesn't go well because I've got this line on my stomach where it's hairy and then hairless from the crotch. I was gonna use my beard trimmer (which I never use since I don't shave :) ) to trim down the hair on my legs, chest and stomach but I wasn't sure if it would cut the hair the right way or if there's just something out there that's better. I don't want to screw up any hair lines or anything and I jsut wanted to trim down the hair length on my legs and chest and stomach so that it doesn't look weird. I don't wanna shave it all off though lol. I was thinkin of shavin the chest and stomach and trimmin the legs (like the pornos) but you need a good physique for that and I'm still workin on my gut and chest.
Thanks again all.....sorry I haven't been on the boards lately but I either don't have time or I just don't know what to say. Thanks again!

Thumper_10x7_CA: How do you treat your skin after you shave SRV524? I shave my balls with the same routine as you, just when they start to get prickly again. For me that's about every third day. After you shave do you use any kind of lotion, after shave or other kind of skin conditioner? I use the regular after shave gel I use on my face. Friends of mine don't like to use that because they say it burns, so they use a Vitamin E body lotion. Other guys I know use talcum powder to keep moisture from collecting during the day. Remember your ball sack is a sensitive skin area so it needs something refreshing after the shave to help it heal.

As for trimming body hair I use a normal electric hair clipper. With the different sized attachments you can trim your stomach, chest, legs, and pits to whatever length you desire. You don't need to worry about effecting any hairlines, you aren't completely shaving, you are just trimming so the hair is still there. Just shorter.

SRV524: Well, I don't really use any lotion. I shave the balls, above the penis, the penis itself, the sides and below the balls. The rashy thing only happens on the top part above the penis/below the stomach. I didn't really know that you had to use after shave bc I just thought it helped stop the burning and gave you a good smell.
It doesn't burn, just bleeds a little and it doesn't hurt and it's not a horrible rash, but it's a little red.

Thumper_10x7_CA: Try the lotion thing for the next couple weeks and see if it helps with the rash. I'm thinking the rash is just razor burn.

PackingVegas: Ever tried an electric razor? The kind with the foil rows, not the trio of round blades that Santa snowmobiles on in the old commercials.

Itches like a mofo the first time, but then it's fine, and almost impossible to cut yourself.

SRV524: Moisturizer? What kind of moisturizer? I switched to Dove because it's supposed to help soften your skin and help with dryness and stuff.
I think it's because of the blade though. I mean, I only shave that area maybe once every 6-7 days, but I haven't changed blades since like mid-Sept. From what I've heard, if you shave everyday you're supposed to change your blade every 2-3 weeks, but since I only shave once every 6-7 days, I thought I didn't have to change it for 3-4 months, but I'm going to go ahead and change it anyways.
Also, I know this isn't part of shaving, but I've been using clean and clear stuff because I have pimples on my upper chest/shoulder area, but ever since I've been using that I've actually gotten a couple on my neck and it's still the same. I use that Dove stuff first and wash it twice with that and then use the C&C but it doesnt really work.....any ideas? I don't know if it's the medication stuff that you need to stop it or if it's just normal but they've always been there for like the past 2 yrs.....just not as bad.
