I just watched his documentary. And while he’s undeniably gorgeous I can’t tell you how many times I rolled my eyes
All you’ve done in this thread is defend him, which is fine but that above statement is not the truth lol.
Also I’m not saying Shawn doesn’t have musical ability. If you notice, no one here has given him shit about his vocals and I even liked his previous albums — I just think his current musical phase isn’t a very good one nor is it very commercial.
I think this is not related to an acting/cinema career (if you noticed he started to be credited as executive producer of his recent projects)
I remember his acting in the 100 was decent despite the small role

Connor was promoted to Creative Director earlier in the year... Shawn’s gonna give him whatever he wants to keep him close... ya know... for ‘work’.
Prowess was probably giving too much credit, but I agree he’s no musical virtuoso, it’s just the same sleezy people in here saying basically he’s got nothing to offer and he’s just another robot in the industry

No he isn't. In his Rolling Stone profile the only thing he talked about was being famous. Not about his music, or being known as some kind of artist, but just fame.
