Maybe a better question is, what would you think of a single, unattached friend who didn't keep a supply of condoms by her bedside?

I'd think she was risking infection if not pregnancy, depending on her other birth control.

I always have condoms in different sizes at home and in my bag - it's about being a sensible, responsible adult. I can understand if a guy doesn't have one in his wallet, but there's no excuse for any sexually active (single/open/poly/cheating etc.) adult not to have a supply at home.

There's a scary number of people, male and female, who would simply not bother with condoms if possible.

she's all about safer sex. respect for herself and her partner.

if she was buying in bulk? she might be overly optimistic/over achiever-y :tongue1:

If she is replenishing in bulk every week I might start worrying about this friend!! lol

I actually have a friend just like the OP described. She doesn't keep them on her bedside table, though. She always has a few in her purse. Why? Because I suggested it.

Yes, I used to keep a few in mine as well. I was by no means considered overly promiscuous, but just in case. Wishful thinking? Trust me, many more expired than were ever used.

I used to know a woman who kept a toothbrush in her purse. She said she wanted to be prepared in case she woke up somewhere other than home.

I think if she had a an open window and a canister of helium by her bedside too she would be planning on an air escape in case of emergency...

There is a yiddish word efsher it translates loosly to maybe or just in case. I believe in this 100%. When I was single I kept a new outfit and shoes ready just in case Brad Pitt called.
