Those shoes all look as good if not better than the ones in the first post, Fleur. And they are reasonably priced, maybe even unreasonably priced. I just bought some new clothes for my feet too:

Men's Dark Brown És És La Brea at Schuh

They look okay and apparently provide extra support and comfort which is what I need, all my other shoes feel like I'm walking around barefoot.

I also bought these:

Men's Brown Fish 'N' Chips Fish N Chips Sauces Hi at Schuh

Not keen on the name or the colour but I like the look of them

I love the second pair. Very sexy.

but I want something a little less common, more playful, but still simple and elegant. Now that I look at them again, I'll get the boots in black, too.

But it would be a special gift, like for his Birthday. I couldn't afford them just like that otherwise. But I know him, he'll probably say" Oh, they're too nice and expensive, I'll just wear them on special occasions" and then never wear them lol.

I swore I would never buy these (black with black trim)... but I was out and about today and my feet were burning and throbbing and I hobbled to a store and bought these....Belgian Shoes | Mr. Casual | All Calf They feel like slippers!

They are quite extraordinary! I love the little ribbon on top! How comfy are they?
Don't you love real leather shoes after you have "broken" them in? They adjust to your foot/leg/calf (depending on how high they go up) and the leather gets softer the more often you wear them.
I have a pair of really expensive leather boots that is about 6 years old and when I take them off, they stay the same shape as my legs!

They are the most comfortable shoe I've ever had on including my New Balance trainers.
