I'll send all the peas to you- well, not those baby peas, they taste much nicer. And snow peas are nice, and... oh heck, i can't part with the peas either. Just make sure you purchase carrots by the crate on your next visit to the states, and buy the imported ones over in your local grocery. Carrot farmers and the world are depending on you!

LOL! peas are grim. I'll fight ya for the carrots. :biggrin1:

Yeah, but too much has been taken from them already. It didn't seem right to swipe something else.

Wouldn't that be an honor for them instead ? Our earilest ancestors growing such an important crop?

Tomatoes are out as they are technically a fruit-that makes it another vote for the tasty carrot!

Eggplants are technically a fruit or in some accounts, a berry.

Well, botanically, the tomato and the eggplant ... as well as cucumbers and squashes ... are all fruit.
But they're also classified as vegetables, which are typically served with dinner rather than dessert.
Vegetable is not a botanical term ... it's a culinary term.
In 1887, the US imposed a tariff on vegetables but not fruits.
It became of some moment whether the tomato would be classified as a fruit or a vegetable.
The Supreme Court settled the question in 1893 when it declared that tomatoes are vegetables, at least for the strict purposes of the particular Tariff Act in question.
New Jersey has named the tomato the state vegetable.
Arkansas declared the tomato both the state veggie and the state fruit ... and all in the same law.

New Jersey and Arkansas are weird places so they don't get a vote either.

Corn is also a grain, technically not a vegetable.
Picky picky.

Don't tell the Green Giant

Oh hell no! I know what death and destruction he's capable of.
He's also quite good at...oh, wait, I swore I'd never tell....

...carry on.

Perhaps. I guess someone will need to find out.

I would say Pear, but it's a Fruit. Pear because that's what many of us look like.

... Or Butternut Squash... that's a veggie, right?
Pear? Interesting. Maybe we will need a National Fruit as well! Butternut squash has to be properly prepared or it makes me want to toss my cookies.

Hmm. Carrots are okay with me. i love those little baby carrots, raw to snack on throughout the day. I wonder how they top and peal those things.

what do u think all those bunnies they test eye liner on do while they're being monitored for bleeding eyes?
