every girl that I have ever been with has said that I have a very nice looking cock also. Even a few friends that are girls have told me that I have one of the nicest looking cocks they have seen and I think I owe part of this to being cut.

...in infancy. Being cut as an adult gives quite a different look.

Although I was unable to find the article that I had read before. But here's another one that I dug up.

Circumcision cuts STD risk, major study finds - Men's Health - MSNBC.com

Ho hum, and around they go. This one is really shonky: he actually says there is a statistically significant correlation when his own figures say there isn't. See the rebuttal at Circumcision and Sexually Transmitted Diseases
Two other, much bigger studies find NO correlation between circumcision and STIs.

The foreskin vs. syphilis redux.

Another young health care pro dispensing age old superstition about incurable diseases.

Familiarize yourself with circ history and you'll quit championing scam surgery.

Although the Fegursson study was published in a peer-reviewed journal, it wasn't random-versus-control and thus didn't meet the criteria I ask for.

The AMA says that circumcision is dangerous and not advised. It also reduces pleasure. As for cleanliness, should we remove our teeth because we have to brush them?

Why is this even being discussed? In 2006 this debate should be over.

I should also include the fact that you are 60% more likely to get an STD if you are uncut.
Raw percentages mean nothing. STDs are quite rare and can be readily treated. They depend on unprotected sex, which is inadvisable outside a relationship anyway.

I have however seen to many cases of men getting horrible UTI's and other problems, from the youth to the elderly.
Yes, and girls get 4 times as many UTIs as boys. Cut them too? It's been calculated you need to cut 195 babies to prevent 1 UTI. Seems pretty hard on the other 194 babies to me.

wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong wrong. you are giving out incorrect information. Certain STD's are very common. Some as high as 33-50% of the population infected. THat is not uncommon. Also, one should point out the "treatable" does not equate curable. HIV is highly treatable.....Herpes is highly treatable.....

Most of the studies are not qualitative.

They pick an area with already high infection rates and then do the research. Very little is done with long term studies - most are done after the fact.

You pick an area with a high prevalence for many reasons. Most are obvious bc if something is rare somewhere it would be impossible to get a high enough number of participants. Also in a more prevalent area the results are more valid and precise because positive predictive value and SEM are more accurate

I am 7" uncut erect, and I have been thinking lately about getting circumcised. What do you think about it? I am 27, and I don't have any hygiene or tightness problems. I would just be doing it for the cut look. I like the tight cut look. I have a lot of foreskin (CI-9). Should I go for it or stick to what I've got?

Dude,

You're 27 years old. Grow up already. If you wanna get cut, do it. If you don't want to, don't. It's really that simple. We cannot decide for you, and anyone who DOES encourage you one way or the other has an OBVIOUS axe to grind and is NOT looking out for your best interests.

The O.P. was asking for advice. Even people my age, almost 50, still do that. And he got good advice from both sides.

Anyone who is neutral or indifferent isn't likely to reply. The O.P. is old enough to figure out which side each responder is on.

Decreased sleep, increased stress, increased anxiety are far more likely to decrease a womans oestrogen and decrease vaginal lubrication.....but then again what do i know
