It is all personal preference. If you react to shaving then, of course, it would be a no. Also, just because you don't react to shaving on the face doesn't mean you won't react to shaving elsewhere. So be warned.
Devices all have pros and cons. It also depends on what look you are going for and how long you want it to last. I am speaking of manscaping everywhere and not just the balls. OK, I'm grown and that term is so elementary school...testicles/scrotum. Any number of shavers are good. Corded has more consistent power. A battery operated one is better, if you're doing it alone. You don't have the awkwardness to wrestling with the cord.
Anything of this type is better when someone else is doing it. I did the photography thing for decades. I worked with a lot of IFBB guys. So, I have manscaped a lot of guys. Not that I think women can't do this, all of my guys liked the fact I was a guy doing it. That too is a personal preference.
I've used all of the methods. All of them will work. None of them work the same on everybody. So you have to find you sweet spot. Cream depilatories work great. They can cause redness. They can actually burn some guys. I wouldn't use that on testicles at all!
O right we were talking about the testicles alone. Personally just a good razor is best. It really is better if someone else is doing it though.
