Should I wear trunks or shorts?

Just to reopen the never ending debate on speedo style trunks versus baggy board shorts, I would be keen on hearing which option people think I should go with for my next holiday. Last time I went for the trunks but I don't know if some of the looks I got were in admiration or whether people were laughing at me!

Can I carry off the speedo look or should I leave a little more to the imagination?

it depends... with your skin color the red definetly looks good on you, so maybe u might want to buy a red speedo but over all pretty nice bod

If I were hung like that, I would definately go for the speedos. Try to find some a lot shorter at the side seam - I think that would improve the great look even more. Cheers.

You should wear a normal speedo because it looks a bit weird, gives you a weird look.

Go for the Speedos but with a narrower side seam. You could always try a mankini, like Borat.

I say shorts...only if at the beach...ocean water can be rough...protection is first duty to your body...in a controled pool at resort/hotel...dude you can definitely pull off the speedo look...less is more in right location...and you are a hot young man...enjoy what you have...folks around you will also, also tan lines in a speedo look so much better than tan lines in shorts...if later u plan on getting naked and showing off that body.

Although I agree that red is a good color on you, I'm not a fan of board shorts. They are just too long, and they make guys look like they have short, stumpy legs, which just makes them look shorter than they really are. I don't know why, but long legs are sexier, on both men and women, than short legs, so you should always try to dress in a way that makes your legs look a bit longer. Therefore, choose shorts and swimsuits that show the knees, at least. Better yet, reveal a little thigh.

But, you don't have to wear a speedo, either. There are some really attractive swimsuit styles that are more modest than a speedo, but not as ridiculously long and baggy and board shorts. I'm attaching a few pics of swimsuit styles that I like.

If you choose a speedo-style suit, I agree with the guys who said that you should wear one with shorter sides, or...

While I think you look great in the trunks. It's my thought that if you went with a speedo type bikini, then you need a different type. That one does nothing for you. It's to big. Go for one with a lower waist, perhaps 2 inch sides, or even a 1 inch.

Both look fine on you but I agree with everyone else, the Speedo suit should be a lower cut suit. And red is your color. It goes well against your skin.

Go for thrunks. You bulge is not to big. Why wearing shorts? It is not fine to wear them. We al know that.

I think you look great in the speedo suit, I would just recommend one that has slightly slimmer sides, I'm attaching a few that I like that are available from metroswimshop.com. Its just my personal preferance that I like nike speedos the best at the moment, they seem to have a good fit and i like the seem on the back of the suit.

Did you mean the tan & blue plaid suit in the 4th pic or the plain tan suit in the 5th pic?

Not that it matters, because either way I don't know the brands. These are just pics of hot guys I found in my Internet explorations, not pics of guys modeling swimsuits. I think a couple of the pics are old, and they probably don't make those suits any more. I just posted them to illustrate the sort of style that I like.
