Headline makes it sound like it's for congressional seats, but it's not. It's for DNC political party committees and crap. I don't live in CA but I don't otherwise care about this. Do you care about this?

I live in CA. I read the bill after I found out the original article had a conservative slant to it. Muchado about nothing.

Absolutely not. If their status is illegal alien
Then they are already committing a crime. So to elect a known criminal to a seat of political power is even worse then electing the standard politician

I'm a staunch advocate of states rights. I hate it when people from other states come in to tell us how to run things. So I say, let Cali do whatever it wants when it comes to its state politics.

The one issue I have with the theory of let states do what they want to do, is we had that happen in this country before in the late 1800’s and then we fought a civil war over it. The side that wanted states rights lost. Now we have a federal government that’s sets laws. States can still make their own laws or stricter laws but they can’t choose not to follow federal law though.

Unless you native American. Your all fucking immigrants.
So even your president and first lady are ones.
Although hers being more obvious.

No I was born here so I’m a legal natural citizen, not an immigrant. My ancestors were immigrants absolutely correct. They however became legal citizens, and that is what this whole drama is about. The problem with all this and all the drama isn’t about being an immigrant, it’s about being legal or illegal that’s the real issue.

They key word is “illegal”.

No one is saying that legal immigrants shouldn’t run.

They're not running for office. That's not what the bill does.

Then what is the bill for? I haven’t read it but my feeling is this, if it’s for any sort of elected position no matter how small that position or government is then it shouldn’t be filled by anyone with an illegal status. Now if it’s an interview / job hire situation that’s different and I don’t care about that

If the bill is to give them any sort of allowances at all, it shouldn’t be accepted.

They shouldn’t even be in the country.

You're welcome to your opinion. I was just explaining to you why your original understanding of what the bill does was incorrect.

Again, they shouldn’t even be in the country.

There’s no nuance when it comes to this bill.

You sure do worry about what goes on in this country. Even things that won't effect your part of the world. The last guy to do that was SonyToyo. Know him?

That's absolutely, true, and I have a hard time reconciling the two--states rights vs. slavery, or whatever.
I guess what pisses me off the most is when state elections draw national donors and campaigners for the purposes of furthering national agendas.
