Please note why you think a Traffic Warden should, or shouldn't, be provided with weapons as a defensive measure.

The more discerning lunatic can feel free to post what type of weapon a Traffic Warden should be provided with.

Is there a threat to Traffic Wardens? Do Traffic wardens look similar to Police, Constables or Paramilitaries when in uniform?

Given the Terror threat in London and Europe in general I would say it wouldn't be a bad thing. However i would caveat that with only after every potential armed Traffic Warden is vetted for mental/personality disorders and then trained in the use of fire arms. Given that their responsibilities increase, one would have to assume that the Traffic Wardens would want a pay increase as well.
