if most of their lives they lived and genetically grew as a man, is it fair they can fight, tackle, or overall dominate women in a sport because now they identify as a woman? Or do we look the other way and say no, they "identify" as the opposite so we're gonna just allow this advantage to occur. Not sure why being PC is acceptable but science isnt.

Do you support transgender (formerly male) athletes competing against female athletes?

Is martina navratilova bigoted?

As I said in those threads, you're not a woman nor am I. Neither you, nor I, has been, is, nor ever will be a female athlete. Women are perfectly capable of determining the most fair application of the rules for the sports they play in and they don't need you speaking for them.

These threads are just started by angry cis men as an opportunity to feel justified in bullying members of the trans community. Mind your own business.

I’d say no. It’s not fair. Especially depending on the event

That seems mean spirited. I asked a question that could be answered without insulting me in the process. And no ive never bullied anyone in my life. This has nothing to do with being transphobic and everything to do with turning a blind eye to facts and genetics. If youre going to debunk any question by simply stating your feelings you've already lost the debate. I would like an answer as to why we should ignore their provable advantage-because you think its insensitive? Thats not good enough. Answers like yours are why Trump won the presidency unfortunately. You fail to give a solid answer to why the rest of us have to pretend the advantage doesnt exist.

sorry i didnt see that thread, if theres an admin reading this they are welcome to delete this one
No sorry necessary. I wasn’t sure if you were aware of the Fred thread. If you go to the bottom of your post and access Tools, you can report the thread and ask for it to be removed. EllieP seems to monitor EtCetera. You could contact her directly. Good luck.

Yes, it is. You have a post history and I'm aware of it. That colors the tone I choose to respond to you with.

You've got a dick and balls. Why the fuck do you care so deeply about women's sports all of a sudden. I haven't seen a single post from you about any women's sports championship and suddenly you urgently need an answer?

It's women's sports. If you want to talk about transgender men competing in men's sports, have at it, but no one here gives half a flying fuck what you think the rules for women's sports should be. You're not a woman, you're just an asshole.

You've already posted nasty bile on this topic in the previous thread, @chicagosam gave you the benefit of the doubt thinking you hadn't seen that. Why do you feel the need to post your thread about the exact same topic?

Writing the word identify in inverted commas is more than a bit shady. I don't think people grow up in a body they feel uncomfortable with, facing hostility and rejection from so many corners (including their families), along with outright bigotry and danger to their own personal safety should be phrased to suggest they're doing so on a whim (and that is the implication if you put in a word like identify in inverted commas). That's privilege-blind at best and callous and bigoted at worst. It's cuntish behaviour whatever the intent, so don't get so offended by people giving you curt and frank responses.

Transwomen competing in women's sports is a classic example of faux bigoted outrage. As I seriously doubt you would give a flying fuck about women's sports, outside of this thinly veiled bullying of transwomen.

GOOD for him/her,why should he
possbly a better outlook/grasp on life than that thing trying to decde there lifes path for them

This transgender soldier won’t give up on the military despite Trump’s ban

and dont try and say its not related to thre subject title perfectionists

But that’s changing with Trump’s ban on openly transgender troops, which went into effect on Friday. The new rules doesn't apply to troops that were already serving openly in the military, like Senior Airman Sterling Crutcher, but it's still a blow.

“My immediate reaction was, I was devastated. I was. It broke me,” Crutcher said. But for Crutcher, leaving now would feel like giving up on himself and other transgender service members. He won’t leave the military.

Watch our segment, which originally aired on VICE News Tonight on HBO.

Women I know who participate in collegiate track & field don’t like the idea because they feel that trans women have an unfair advantage.

But far be it for me to have my own opinion on it.

Not at all I’m talking about science and logic. Provable and factual differences that occur between genders that all the sudden you decide to reject as truth and pretend to be something you aren’t. Feelings aren’t involved
