Showering/changing with friends - do you look at it?

I grew up in a time where it was uncommon to not have seen every guy in your circle of friends naked. We went to the Y together, we showered after gym class, we had sleepovers and often bathed together. Without it being sexual, we even pointed out differences or made comparisons. To the men who make it a point to not look or peek, what are your fears? Do you think you may throw up? Will you spontaneously go homo? Are you afraid you'll be caught and labeled? I always find it funny that they guys who say they never look can always tell you which of their buddies has the biggest dick - his name is usually Tripod, but no, "I never look."

I think it's at least partially correlated to age. Growing up and through college everybody checks out each other's penises, underwear, etc.

Older guys will look too, but they don't care as much.

Some try to be discreet and some won't hide the fact they're looking and go beyond a brief glance. I also wear smaller briefs and thongs so they'll look at those too.

I'll look, but most of the time I won't -- other things on my mind, lack of interest, respect privacy.

In my experience, for some guys who are gay (but maybe aren't out) the locker room can be awkward for them because they don't want to be perceived as gay.

In college, there was this short skinny kid I knew who was always changing in the locker room before I did for a PE class we had together. I could tell he would always look forward to watching me strip down to my briefs so he could check them out. He always wore briefs too and this was in the US where most college guys and guys in general don't wear them as their regular undies. Apparently it made him more comfortable that another guy openly wore them. Before that, he was insecure about changing, would do it quickly and kept his shirt on so they wouldn't show. After that he loosened up and we'd have convos about whatever just in our briefs.

It was funny because as soon as I took mine off to go shower after class, he lost open interest in looking "below the belt." He never went naked.

I was so shy, awkward, and VERY curious in junior high and high school to see my friends naked and to show off. I can still remember some of those naked friends in the shower like it was yesterday.
