The thing I cannot believe is that, without his admission of responsibility for a baby's death, he probably wouldn't get a life sentence. It seems strange to me that the severity of the rape, incest and withdrawal of liberty charges can't be cumulative. Raping, and/or sexually abusing, somebody twice a week for 24 years should not carry the same potential sentence as raping somebody once. That makes no sense to me.
MB, in the U.S. crimes of a sexual nature are usually underreported in the media.
However, this story was covered by major newspapers last year, and, of course, the BBC is giving reports several times a day. I just saw that the jury will come back tomorrow to discuss sentencing- considering his pattern of sexual assault and heinousness of his crimes, I will be extremely disappointed if they're at all lenient.
Yes, but now we're at the chapter where he stands accountable for his evil actions & receives his punishment. Im sure he'll be in prison for the rest of his life. Which isn't even enough punishment.
I alway wonder how many other sicko's are out there doing similar things. I recall that it was just by chance he got caught. It was just normal middle class area and the neighbors had no clue about what was going on.
What's happening in my neighbors basement? No idea.
I think an appropriate sentence would be to banish him to his own dungeon, turn the power off, and let him live out the rest of his miserable days laying in his own extriment.
A sentence not even has bad as he gave his own daughter.
For good measure, have Shane Diesel visit about 6x/wk and ravage his asshole.
Very very few crimes against children are reported in the US. I'm not sure if it's censorship or the general aversion people have in this country to watching and reading things that are depressing.
