They make the happiest and saddest music i have ever heard.
Sigur Rós – Inní mér syngur vitleysingur
Im really loving this one at the minute,
Although Glosoli is one of my all time fave songs.

    Count yourself as a fan?

Indeed, got into them about a year after Agaetis Byrjun came out. Love the guitar bow work. Forgot about these guys, they have anything current I should take notice?

But, dude.... "happiest". If anything but. It can be sadly beautiful, and other ways to paint. Sigur Ros makes Pink Floyd look like Clay Aiken. I think I know where you are going, but you dangerously mis-wiring your emotions on this one. If someone qualifies "happy" to music... I'm thinking the Pizzicato Five. Speaking of, another lost band... cross between Stereophonic/DeeLite and Herb Alpert... the mastermind behind that outfit... a genius (like Jonsi Birgissen [sp?]).

Sigur Ros (and almost all post-rock, by extension) is all-around enjoyable, but the fanboys I encounter both online and in real life piss me off to no extent with their, well, fanboyism. Their music is good, but I don't understand why they get such accolades.

Love em'. Not a band i can listen to all the time, but i did see them liv a year or 2 ago and it was the most amazing night. Their sound filled the venue entirely from wall to wall and i doubt their wasnt a person on their feet and singing for the whole show.

I really love Sigur Ros. Music you can really feel.

They made a documentary and I thought it was wonderful.

Sigur Ros are cool. I like Hoppipolla - and even Poppiholla (Chicane), lol.

Jonsi has a new song out, called 'Go Do'.

i think o can still find it happy. Its not pure good vibes like the go!team, as you have to sit and listen to it, you cant really do the washing over it, but all in all it is still happy.

I linked to spotify, purely as im not atttempting to write that out lol!

Saltwater (in 98) was the best Chicane tune ever, imo. :biggrin1:
