Do you do your own laundry? § No, I don't.

In your own house or at laundramat? § In my own house. The closest laundramat that I know of is about an hour away (in the city)

Do you take all your laundry to a cleaners and have them do everything? § No, I don't. Maybe for my suit, but usually not.

Do you do your own laundry? Yes - and everybody else's too

In your own house or at laundramat? In my house.

Do you take all your laundry to a cleaners and have them do everything? That would be FAR too fucking expensive. I occasionally take duvets, throws and the dogs' beds to the industrial sized (no, not him :smile:) machine at the laundrette because they don't fit in my machine. Last time I was even in a dry cleaners / laundry service shop I was dropping off shirts for Hick (though he does his own at home most of the time, too).

I do laundry at home.

But I'm considering taking everything, not just shirts/suits, to the laundry. Have them do it all. I think you pay by the pound.

I hate doing laundry.

I do my own laundry in the small laundry room in the building where I live. When I lived in NJ, after I moved to my own place, my mother did it for me, when she became ill my father did it for me. They Ironed too. :biggrin1: I would drop off the dirty laundry for the week and pick up the clean clothes from the week before.

What is this 'ironing' you speak of, Mem?

You take the clothes out of the dryer while they are still warm. Stretch them out and roll them instead of folding. Then when you want to wear them you spray Downy Wrinkle Releaser on it and stretch it again. That's how I iron now.

  1. I do
  2. At home
  3. I only dry clean silk and suits. Everything else I do myself though I do take my down comforter to the laundramat to use the gigantic machines.

I do my own laundry, and my sons laundry. We live in an apartment complex but there aren't any washer/dryer hookups in the units, so we use the laundry facility that's on the property. On rare occasion, if I have something huge to wash (read: my insanely awesome comforter) then we'll load up and head to the laundromat down the street for their lovely triple-load washers.
