Not sure if this has been done before or if this is the right section of the forum to post this on but here goes! So I did some generalized member searches of male members using each of the sexual orientation parameters and here is what showed up (this doesn't include no responses or usnsures).

    100% Straight, 0% Gay = 45255
    99% Straight, 1% Gay = 8115
    90% Straight, 10% Gay = 7756
    80% Straight, 20% Gay = 6044
    70% Straight, 30% Gay = 5328
    60% Straight, 40% Gay = 3258
    50% Straight, 50% Gay = 14906
    60% Gay, 40% Straight = 4005
    70% Gay, 30% Straight = 4866
    80% Gay, 20% Straight = 5752
    90% Gay, 10% Straight = 7361
    99% Gay, 1% Straight = 7375
    100% Gay, 0% Straight = 32072
Total members = 152093 (not including no responses or unsures)

Now this tells us a number of interesting things.

    1. That roughly 7 out of any 10 random guys will have fooled around with a guy or thought about doing so. 106838 out of 152093 = 70.2451789366. Conversely, only 30% of guys identify themselves as being totally straight. 45255 out of 152093 = 29.7548210634

    2. On the other end of the spectrum, roughly 8 out of any 10 random guys will have fooled around with a girl or thought about doing so. 120021 out of 152092 = 78.9129019744. Conversely, only 21% of guys identify themselves as being totally gay. 32072 out of 152093 = 21.0870980256. This is quite a bit more than the 10% that is considered to be the accepted percentage (although one must take into account that a lot of guys interested in giant, throbbing, veiny, pulsating penises would become members of this site regardless of whether or not the need support for having a large penis.)

    3. Roughly 1 out of every 2 random guys are bisexual or have bisexual thoughts. 74766 out of 152093 = 49.158080911.

    4. Out of the other half that are not bisexual, there is a 42% chance that they are only interested in guys (32072 out of 77327 = 41.475810519) or conversely, a 59% chance they are only interested in women (45255 out of 77327 = 58.524189481).

So who knows? The next time you mentally undress that totally straight looking/acting hottie boy, you never know,, he might be thinking the same thing about you!

    Slow day at work?

It's clearly not representative of anywhere but here, but at least we now have authoritative research!

    Yikes!
What is a "generalized number search?"
Interesting stats but these are just what people reported and you really cannot make a single inference from any of it. For example, unless you actually read all the posts of these people, how would you know they "fooled around" or "had thoughts?"

IOW all you can infer from this is that the people who chose to answer the % question, here are the results:
    100% Straight, 0% Gay = 45255
    99% Straight, 1% Gay = 8115
    90% Straight, 10% Gay = 7756
    80% Straight, 20% Gay = 6044
    70% Straight, 30% Gay = 5328
    60% Straight, 40% Gay = 3258
    50% Straight, 50% Gay = 14906
    60% Gay, 40% Straight = 4005
    70% Gay, 30% Straight = 4866
    80% Gay, 20% Straight = 5752
    90% Gay, 10% Straight = 7361
    99% Gay, 1% Straight = 7375
    100% Gay, 0% Straight = 32072
Total members = 152093 (not including no responses or unsures)

And, let's not forget those who change their %'s for any number of reasons.

OTOH, I think that you can probably come up with some great polls so keep posting.

Well, considering that this is a fairly anonymous forum and that the chances of any two people from here meeting and recognizing each other in person are extremely unlikely, I don't see any reason for anyone to fib about their sexuality or anything else for that matter. What would the point of that be? That's not to say that I don't think they're aren't any fibbers on here but the amount of them are so low that they don't have any significant impact on the results.

Normally this would cause me concern if the site had only about a 100 members or so but considering that there's over a 152 THOUSAND I don't think any changes will make much of a difference. It's not like the majority of people decide to change the way they identify themselves all the time.

Can we do the inverse correlation between LPSG members and the Richter Scale next? :D

It is not even representative of here, since only about one-third of the members have provided this information.

15shooter is correct on that. Specifically, I have encountered a lot of guys who give themselves a small percentage "gay" even though they have no interest in actually touching a guy. And, some guys consider themselves to be 100% straight but nevertheless jack off with guys on cam.

    It is all very murky.

    Already quoted http://www.lpsg.org/182299-female-flamers-why-are-they-2.html#post2745129

    Haha.

This is how datasets are analysed. NB opinion polls - Don't knows are discarded, or are aggregated to match the sample response.

Nope, I can't see where you said it. But congrats on now being quoted as research!
