i generally use a combination of adam4adam, okcupid and bearforest.... they all tend to have the same members on them, but all in different contexts.... i always found it quite amusing to look at someone on okcupid, see their face, and read all kinds of interesting life facts.... then i find them on adam4adam and get to see their colon....

I've also heard friends talk about planet romeo. the one I use most is grindr but technically its not as good as the others. It does seem to be the most ubiquitous here so that's probably a good reason to keep using it.

Do you guys ever use these sites and just end up meeting for a legit friendship? Never used these sites or Apps. But I work with all women and at times I think how does one just meet a gay dude as a buddy? I mean I have a partner, I am not looking to hookup. Just wondered if they are all all just looking for sex

I've made some great friends through grindr (which overall is a cesspool). I think in all those cases the initial contact probably stemmed from some physical attraction based on profile pics, but once we chatted more or met for the first time, we realised that we have a friendship chemistry as opposed to a sexual one.

That's been my experience also. Although I've noticed these "buddies" drop you right away once they do find someone, almost like you'd been dating, ha. The new Grindr interface was bewildering at first, but it's definitely more useful now that messages actually get through and you can keep track of them, as well as use filters. If it weren't for Grindr I'd pretty much never meet anybody my age or younger; the websites definitely skew older, just as a statement of fact rather than an issue. I'm just not crazy about a4a's interface, and for some reason the shady/ghetto aspect soars on there, and guys will abruptly ask for "generosity" or "donations" mid-convo. It's very strange. MH is the old standby, if you don't mind the frequency of pics that haven't been updated since the Dubya years. (If it's got a MH watermark, which was discontinued like four or five years ago, run away!)

I'm still friends with the guys. There is only an awkward dynamic with one of them because he did meet a guy (through grinder) and they're now living together and this guy is worried about the fact that him and I also "met" on grindr even though we NEVER did anything sexual. The most we did was swap shirtless pics, no nudes. Oh well...

interesting. I've had some decent luck chatting with a few guys on Tinder once, but that's about it.
Manhunt is sketchy as hell too, but I've met a handful of decent men on there. Not my type, and nothing transpired, but we're all just trying to make our way best we can.

I'm on a blackberry, not an iPhone or Android, so my access to these apps is very limited. LPSG seems to be the one I meet the most people on who stay friends - this site is a highly recommended staple for me, and I wondered what everyone else's go-to's were.

I like being able to read about guys and get an indpeth perspective from okcupid. Grindr is mostly sex and a large issue is that the guys there lie about it. Haven't had the best experiences because a lot of the people are flakey or douchebaggey. Most guys are on all of the same things.

It's pretty annoying though to get on okcupid and see "No hookups. I want to find the love of my life." but then you see the same guy on grindr "Tops only. I host. Let's fuck."
