i don't dispute that, i like a pink better as well, i just never knew it might not have been natural that way.

Sbat, i think most people think that. But chances are if you like it in porn, its a trend that someone has worked VERY hard to make look that way from porn to porn around the internet.
The exterior skin is rougher, more porous and has more layers than the internal, mucous membrane bright pink layers. Technically, pink assholes are mostly pink in the inside. Skin isnt a bright pink as the tissue morphs into actual surface skin cells.
Just like how labia can be purplish, brownish, even a dark bluish color on the tips, it doesnt indicate they are dirty, its just the way they are. But most guys are put off by that too. It has a lot to do with race, skin type, genetics, blood flow, etc.

I think for me personally it does have something to do woth havinf worked in the porn-industry for some time - things like these are just the order of the day. You wax, you bleach, you make sure you look good naked (and tan if you prefer to; seeing it can mask lots of inperfections with ease). Me still doing so today, is more about wanting to take care of myself and understanding my own sexuality by knowing my body - every single inch of it. For me, it's just part of a routine and makes me FEEL cleaner and more desirable. But to each it's own, ofcourse.
As to sbat's question: Eventhough I'm really not a fan of beeing eaten out anywhere - let alone anullingus - I will always clean well enough that it would be possible if I wanted to. I will use special showerheads and special intimate soap (regular soap can be itchy). Listerine does work too though. Appart from the bleaching, I always have to use wet whipes and intimate whipes to make surr I don't have to bleach that often. But that said and done, why is it people only feel like they have to clear their bums for anal sex/anulligus? Is it just me, or are smelly butts never very attractive?

They aren't attractive, you're right. But cleaning to not smell dirty and cleaning to kill the germs I don't want in my mouth are two different things. Washing with just water can kill the smell if you have a reasonable diet and wipe thoroughly after you use the toilet, but some extra stuff needs to be done to be sanitary for snacking.

I'm disappointed in myself for being so closed minded to anything anal. I have never looked at my own anus,- and I'm curiuos about my own body to the point of having sat up and watched my own vasectomy last year.
Going slightly off-topic for a moment if I may. As someone with knowledge / experience of the porn industry, is it easy to make a good standard of living for women (and men) in porn? (I don't plan to give up my day job anytime soon).

London, its hard to make a living in porn. Unless you get a contract through a company and become one of their signature girls. You otherwise make a few hundred dollars for your days work, and you dont work very often. If no one knows your name you usually have to do pretty absurd things for very little pay.
Women who are taking ass to mouth are only making a little bit more money for the risk of a fews days of a severe stomach flu from their own germs. It's really not worth it in the long run. But for every girl who will do something for $500 another girl will do it for $50.

Miss Rouge is right. I was personally quite lucky when it came to money (exspecially seeing I never wanted to do A2M, gold and the like..) but usually you'll have to do the nastiest, hardcore work as a rookie for a few hundred bucks. I work with skin all the time, i bleach all sorts of things, eyebrows, hair, pubic hair. I've seen it all, i've done it all. I can't say my asshole has been wanting a bleaching for a couple of years now. I don't think it's necessary. My skin is more sensitive than most anyway.
