A couple from Northern Zealand cannot ban naked bathing from a beach in front of their house.

Bathing on Danish beaches, with or without clothes, is a legal right, according to the Eastern High Court, which has confirmed a decision by the lower courts in a case regarding naked bathing.

The decision means that a couple from Skodsborg just north of Copenhagen, cannot put up a ‘Nudism forbidden’ sign on a beach in front of their sitting room window.

Bothered
The couple say that they are bothered by naked bathers, who they claim engage in sexual activities on the beach. But the local court in Lyngby decided on June 13 this year that naked bathing, which has been allowed in Denmark for the past 32 years, is still allowed. The High Court upheld the verdict of the lower court and ordered the couple to pay costs.

Sensible Denmark! We've just had a storm in a teacup where the local council voted to leave the law unchanged which doesn't mention skinnydipping, the papers beat it up into a story about them changing the law to allow it, all the fundies came out of the woodwork, one poor guy came from the other side of the island to enjoy the new freedom and was spoken to by the police, and the dog that had been sleeping peacefully is barking, pissing and poohing over everyone.

i am danish and know that people in that area meet up for gangbangs.several months of the year it is too cold for fun on the beach.

The problem with nude sunbathers = little eye candy, much wanna gouge your own eyes out.

Yes, awesome indeed. An enlightened culture.

On the other hand, as a nudist/naturist, I believe it's the responsibility of people who live clothes-free lifestyles and/or engage in nude recreation to conduct themselves in responsible ways.

Engaging in sexual activities in front of unwilling viewers or non-nudists is NOT exactly the way to promote the cause.
