Went for a sleep study recently to try to find out possible cause of snoring, seemed normal in its entirety until I got the report and went in to talk to the doctor and have her explain the report. The report said something about "unusual tenting" and I thought it was some medical term or something until the doctor said I had an erection during sleep that was abnormally large and they noted it in the report. In her most professional way, she ask am I above average down there and do I get aroused during sleep often. I said yes and she went on to other things in the report. She ask about any dreams I had which were none, any self help stimulents I'd had before arriving which they told me not to alter my habits, coffee etc. I didn't tell her that I didn't find any of the attendants overly attractive enough for my mind to wander to help out the erection....didn't think she needed to know that bit of information. Anyone else had unusual happenings at a sleep study.

Call me skeptical, but I find it hard to believe a sleep study clinician would question you about an erection you had being "abnormally large" ... as mentioned, erections are a normal part of sleep and it would be unprofessional in the extreme to comment on the size of a guy's erection while he's under medical observation.
I also call b*llshit! There's no way anyone involved with a sleep study - which I assume deals with sleep apnea - a potentially deadly condition - would be worried about a guy popping a boner in his sleep unless he suddenly pulled a gymnastic move and started sucking his own giant dick which "MIGHT" present a choking hazard - otherwise right on Ike!

I have had several friends get checked for this (one did, had such great results it caused several others to get checked) and NEVER would I hear of such a comment (I was curious so my friend told me all about it..(his comment was he was so sleepy with no caffiene (sp) or a a nap that he could have 'slept in a bus terminal')...the only 'odd' thing I heard was when you wake up they have to take all the equipment (?) off you and the friend said he was 'dancing' as he had to PEE and the lady/technician was taking her time (he finally said something and she told him to go and make sure noe of the equipment got 'wet' lol)
and yes, I agree with all above...I smell the stench of BS on this one...

I was basically gonna say what everyone else above has already said : BS!
If this were true, the therapist would know that men (in general) obtain as many as three erections during the night and would not document this in any "report" since this is a normal occurrence in men.

I would think the clinician would be more inclined to give you an idea as to why you snore, instead of fixating on your genitalia, like everyone has stated above, I think it's unprofessional, good masturbation material, but unprofessional none the less.

Abnormally large? That's a bit off, isn't it? In order to say it's "abnormally" large would only mean the good doctor/therapist have seen the penis in question in its normal state, which I assume has absolutely nothing to do with the whole sleep study scenario. Surely your penis doesn't play much of a role in the whole sleep routine except from the natural erections which occur several times over the course of your sleep depending on how long your cycles are and how long you remain asleep.

Amazing how some immediately are gonna call BS on something that sounds like BS but just might possibly be true......not gonna even comment or waste my time on those types. Maybe when they get older, or old enough to have grandchildren, maybe they will have lived long enough to see a broader scope of reality, even reality that is un-professional but still true.

I've been to a few doctors in my lifetime, and only one has ever made a comment about my size. He said it's not unusual for men of my size to experience issues with performance and I might want to consider ED medical remedies before too long.
I once had a woman doctor who said "Holy Shit!" Nah, just kidding. She was as much a pro as anyone else. Like Archie Bunker said, "They go to medical school and get special training not to look at the good parts."
But now, if you went over to Sleep Centers R Us, a division of Sofa World, then they might not have a certified crew, and no telling what kind of comments you might get. You might also end up in the next batch of amateur home movies on PornoTube, too.
