Hello all just wondered what size people on here would describe my penis as its 5.5 long well 1-2 ml short of. 4 and a half thick under the head, 5 thick middle shaft and 5 and a half maybe more at the base. is this a small penis. comments appreciated .

there are many misconceptions about average size. most internet surveys say 6.5 is average (especially enlargement sites, wonder why?) but they have no physical evidence to support their claim. the two "medical surveys" that I know of have been done in the presence of registered nureses and doctors found the average to be between 5.1 and 5.7 inches. anything else is just an attempt to make men feel insecure.

well thanks for all the replies so why then have i got such a bloody hang up about thinking my penis is really small i just cant seem to understand its average even if it is on the small side of average . maybe because when flaccid its quite small i dont know im quite happy with my penis when erect but when flacid thats where i get insecure anyone else like this especially urinating infront of others i just always feel like the smallest guy on earth strange huh.

While I agree that a lot, perhaps even a majority, of guys exaggerate their size, I don't agree with the 99% estimate. I think there are plenty of guys here who do not lie about their size because they realize what the true average is, and are content with the fact that a 7, 7 1/2 or 8 inch cock is "big" and so there is no need to lie about it.
