Any have issues with their Iphone or blackberry where someone sends you a text, but it shows on your phone as having come from another person. Or you know you sent a text to the correct number but it showed as having been sent to someone else.
I ask because a co worker says I sent them an inappropriate text including porn and sext's, but I know I didn't because i don't keep photos like that on my phone and my phone doesn't send pictures well (it's kinda old). nor do I sext.

Please let me know if this has happened to you and what service you use. I need to show her proof that it wasn't me.
they threatened to go to my boss for sexual harassment. I sent her an apology email and explained that it has to be a phone mistake because I don't send stuff like that from my phone. they haven't gone to my boss yet and I go to work everyday freaked out that she will say something. Im hoping the apology email was enough.
Let me know. thanks.

Have you upset this person recently as they maybe trying to get you into trouble, if it comes to it I'm sure the phone company have all your records of what texts etc you have sent with times etc.

If she showed you the texts on her phone and they had your name on them then assuming you did not send them the only explanation could be that she has saved someone else's number under your name. Either by accident or on purpose. You need to look at her phone and check what number she has for you.

Especially if you have no sent items on your phone to her then this is the only explanation. If you have sent items to her (name) and the number matches then if you did not send them you could have a virus or malware that is sending sexts etc to people in your phonebook.

This is unlikely though and I can only find this from Blackberry:

Malware vulnerabilities on a BlackBerry device

There was this too:

The BlackBerry threat is a complex .code file. It can manipulate BlackBerry apps, access crypto libraries, and access other phone functionality such as sending SMS messages. The malware can call home to Germany and Indonesia. It asks for a slew of permissions:

I could be wrong, but I believe there are apps that enable you to send texts from another number. If so, she or someone else could be trying to get you in trouble. I recall seeing something similar on The Peoples Court (cheesy, I know). I'll see what I can find.

Edit: I found this, surely there are other apps that do the same thing. Good luck with this one, it will be tough to prove.

Phone companies only have a record of when a text was sent or received not what the text said. I agree there are programs that will allow people to use your phone number to send text but also keep in mind phones can be glitchy sometimes.
