I wouldn't even recognize some of the old things left in my fridge; way due for a clean-up.

This coupled with the lack of edible food sounds like the results of a drunk shopping trip.

I've just got a huge selection of sauces and an assortment of beers. And for some reason a whole lime.

The source of the odor turned out to be chicken blood. I did not see that some had escaped and trickled back and down behind the bins. Gross. I had to throw out the bag of potatoes which was hiding the blood. There are whole eggs and egg whites, butter, cheeses, cold cuts, scallions, onions, garlic, a london broil sitting in rub, cooked rice waiting to be stir-fried, four kinds of butter cream, and a confection sugar frosting, three pounds of cookie dough, ice cream base, sour mix, limes, lemons, champagne, gravy, mushrooms in a box, mushrooms in marinade, baby spinach, flour for dredging, heavy cream, olives, water, cherry Coke Zero, skim milk, the scent of bleach, baking soda, and an eye mask. I refuse to list my seemingly endless number of condiments.

Our fridge falls into four categories basically: my stuff, the misses' stuff, the general stuff, and the frozen stuff.

Mine includes partially consumed bottles of Ensure, half cans of Pepsi or 7Up, and the leftover biscuits I refuse to toss, though we rarely ever eat them.

Hers includes various yogurts, fruit cups & juices, orange marmalade, guacamole, avacados, salad or veggie packs - all the stuff I should be eating but don't.

The general stuff: the regular dairy/breakfast fare, deli/meats, condiments, and assorted leftovers.

The freezer section is virtually foreign to me, save for the ice cream, hamburger patties, and breakfast croissants, the only stuff in there I know how to fix.

It's always a jumble of "stuff", though a good third of it could be tossed.
