I'm planning a transatlantic trip next March and although I'll have a seat that reclines into a bed on the flight, I'm worried about actually sleeping. I snore loudly and I'd feel odd about keeping anyone awake or annoying anyone while I was sleeping. I try to be considerate of others, particularly in an enclosed space where moving away isn't an option.

How do you feel about snoring on a plane?
If you snore, are you more likely to stay awake during the flight?
What would you do if you were on a flight with a passenger who was snoring loudly?

Don't worry. The flight attendants will gently wake you just enough so you'll stop snoring for 30 or so minutes until you start up again -- if you're really loud. You won't get much REM sleep, but you'll get some rest.

They got those nose strips, don't know if they work but it is worth trying. I heard trimming nose hairs down could help to

A small bean filled pillow in shape of kidney helped me. Available
everywhere even at airport shops at higher price than Target or
most luggage shops. Also helps not having the 'stiff' neck.

I've never been able to sleep on those transatlantic flights, myself. I always budget my time so that my first day in Europe is very light on the activities and heavy on the sleep-time.
