Snowed In

I was watching the international weather today and it looks like it really is a winter wonderland. But are you seriously snowed in with 7 inches of snow? That's a light dusting in NY.

7 Inches of snow, snowed in in Birmingham alone and cold.
anyone else in Europe snowed in?

I'm 35 miles east-south-east of you and it hardly snowed here. We got more yesterday actually. I'm in warwks.

Lol, you can bet your bottom dollar that several inches is more than enough to cause huge problems here, there just isn't great preperation or management cos we don't get snow in England too often. Scotland and Wales bear the brunt.

yeah, most years it doesnt snow at all, so we dont have snow ploughs, winter tyres etc. the roads here are just simply un-usable, even trying to walk through 7 inch deep snow is useless. just gotta wait until the few gritters finally do the side roads before i'm leavin, unless I walk.

I hear that Liverpool got up to 2 feet. As much as he wants to be the tough guy, 7 inches would slow down NYC. The difference is people would still be out and about because of the plows.

We had a white Christmas here in Germany too!

It snowed Christmas Eve, all day on the 25th and all day today. On the 25th I had to go to my Mom's and even though I don't have problems driving in winter, I had to go slow, cause the streets were covered in snow, cause there were no Plows cause of the Holiday.
But I wouldn't mind being snowed in at all, I have so much left over food and wine from the Holidays that I could live off that for days.

We had more then 16 inches on christmaseve! Talking about a white christmas lol
It was since 1964 that we had a white christmas, so quite cool, although it was a bit much.

Here in Jersey we have at least 18 inches of snow. As i look out my picture window, the snow is up too and covering the windows on my car. It has really started to snow much heavier. So we are in for a lot more snow. They say perhaps as much as 2 feet of snow at least. It is common to see a deer once and while, where i live. However this morning my wife and i saw 3 or four coming down the hill. It's always a sign a bad storm is on its way.

We ended up with anywhere from 3-5 inches of snow Christmas Eve, day, and day after here in north Alabama. The northeast side of Alabama (mountainous) got anywhere from 4-8 inches in the same period of time. First time any recordable amount of snow on Christmas ever, and the last time we had snow on Christmas was in '89.
