So I've no doubt its been covered before, but wat does everyone think of Daniel Craig as the new Bond???

Personally, he does sod all for me. Its not cos he's blonde....I'm just not mad on his face, as for whether he's well endowed or not I've no idea??

I much prefer Connery (so much presence) or even Roger Moore.

Anyway I'm sure loads of you will disagree...

Excuse me, but he was the smarmiest, camera mugging ,polyester wearing doofus ever to land the role... and in the longest run of LEAST entertaining double entrendre laden, over the top FXapaloozas in the series.


What Made Connery in the role was the sense of menace he was able to portray in his early bond films.... you could believe Connery, in Doctor No, as a killer.
Moore? He didn't look nor act like he could empty a moustrap, much less kill a person in cold blood.


Daniel Craig is a fantastic Bond, simply because he is able to evoke a similar sense of menace- and also because he is not traditionally a "pretty boy".

And- Altho I have not seen the newest effort- I have to say that Casino Royale was one of the best Bond films ever... because of a NEW direction, away from over the top effects, and away from smarmy sexual innuendo- and into a more brutal and gritty sense of what it means to be an assassin.

The fight in the stairwell in Royale was one of the best Bond sequences ever filmed. It did not need lavish silliness, nor cinematic "tricks, nor over the top impossible stunts...
The desperation and danger and sheer effort required to kill someone trying to kill you was pretty effectively portrayed without all those distractions.

I am seriously hoping that the new course of films will stay well away from the ridiculous effects sequences, the idiotic focus on 'gadgets' and sex jokes- and instead maintain the focus on the darkness inherent in any character whose job it is to kill other people.

I think Craig's the bomb. Timothy Dalton was good but Daniel Craig's better.

I also welcome the shift away from lame sex jokes and gadgetry.

Perhaps its to do with the thick eyebrows?? Connerys got em, Moores got em, Jack Nicholson's got em ahhhh now THERE is an ACTOR!!

as far as the best bond, it was definitely sean. but as far as hottest, I think daniel craig is it! roger moore is also very good looking, but wasn't the best bond..... don't forget pierce.... i used to have the biggest crush on him!

i love sean connery better than any other james bond actor.

i love daniel craig and i think he made such a good bond in the last flick. quantum of solace looks like it's going to be just as good as casino royale. at first i was doubting daniel craig for taking up the bond role. but when i saw his performance, and his sexy dripping wet body glistening against the sun wearing those tiny little swim trunks, i wanted to get on my knees and blow him away. and not only is he a good actor, but he totally fits the part of james bond.

I think Daniel Craig is incredibly sexy as Bond. With both him & Judi Dench on board the films are now enjoying a credibility theyve never had before. His acting talent gives the character depth & intensity. Casino royale was the most successful Bond film ever at the box office & Daniel was nominated for best actor in some very prestigious award shows. Hello! So all you doubters can just fuck right off & watch something else.

Sean Connery is the coolest Bond. The Best! Roger Moore is the second best.

I don't like any of the others as Bond. None of them are James Bond 007. David Niven and Woody Allen played 007 in the original "Casino Royale". Daniel Craig is as good as Woody Allen as 007!

Furthermore, after the first few Roger Moore Bond movies, the franchise had run its course. It was finished. However, its a very lucrative franchise, and they will keep making them as long as they make a profit.

Daniel Craig has taken the Bond films to a whole new level & I suspect the producers are ecstatic with what he's brought to the table; huge box office AND great critical acclaim. I think Daniel Craig was brilliant. The only one to come close to Sean Connery.

I loved the new Casino Royale, it seemed to update and modernise the series at the same time as returning to it's roots.

speaking of this, i wonder how hung James Bond the character is. Granted the actors can only do their best job portraying him, but I bet in Ian Fleming's mind when he was writing bond, he was around 7.5. Nothing enormous, but much bigger than average. Bond was all about pleasuring women and himself, but not hurting anyone. I think thats about right.
