More intriguing to me would be the ability to tease out images of what the universe looks like now, everywhere.

(Wherever we look we see the past because of light's slow speed across vast distances.)

yes, halcyondays… I wonder particularly if antares actually still shines in the scorpion constellation…
same question for betelgeuse in orion…
as I read that these two stars seemed to be on the edge to undergo an explosion turning them into supernovas...

lol... both could have blown up a couple hundred of years ago and we won't see it for couple hundred more! and they're nearby at about 500 light years... lightspeed is soooo slow... :cool:
