If so what are your experiences?
I just came down with it. I thought it was a sinus deal with a sore throat, I do get them every so often, the last time being mid February, 3 days and I back running. I have no health concerns, workout regularly 4 times a week when the gym is open, been biking to work once or twice a week, almost 60.
Same symptoms this time but now we have a thermometer. I did hit a temp of 104 before I started taking Tylenol, but never had a bad headache. I did have aches and fatigue but thats what I had before. So I took a 30 minute rapid test and bingo. That was Monday and my chief complaint is still the sore throat. Oh, and boredom. I am on lockdown for 10 days, not even my dog gets to see me.
The county called to try tracing it but I've been using a mask and distancing. It's not going anywhere. At this point no one I've been in contact with is showing symptoms and it's been about 6 days. I was even wearing my mask weight lifting. I figured I try and see if reduced oxygen intake while working out would kind of work like oxygen depravation that was kind of the rage a few years ago.

At any rate for me it's just uncomfortable but I could see how this could spin out of control for some people. I certainly didn't think I'd get it, that's all those other chumps....

Sorry to learn this. Hope you feel better soon. Good that you’ve been following recommended protocol - eg. wearing a mask (even before contracting covid), isolating, etc.

Here’s to a speedy and full recovery.

I had it. Was sick for a good 10 days with it. Was basically a super flu except the recovery process in terms of exercising was much longer.

Do you know what strain you had?

How long did it take to recover your senses of smell and taste?

How many times did you have to test before being cleared?

So.....

This was back in March in the UK. At that time it was not possible for me to get tested. At that time the only way to get tested was if you knew someone who had tested positive. Because there were so few tests available nobody knew anyone who was positive so no one could get tested. A real shit show.

So I never lose my senses. Everything was metallic for a few days but nothing too bad. It was mostly at the tail end of things and it made me crave juices.

I've never had a covid test only the antibody test.

So no idea even what strain i had :(

Kind of sucks but I would recommend you get tested if you get the chance. I was in a location that go t hit early and one of our people who did get sick and recovered had no symptoms but was testing positive and inconclusive for sometime. Recently came back down with it again and the only constant was the smell and taste thing from what I heard. His relapse or different strain (not sure) was not as bad as the first from what I understand. First round though sounded like about your timeline at around a little over a week.

I did not lose my senses, no strain given just a positive.

What was great was I was given my results 20 minutes after the test. I informed everyone I possibly could have been in contact with immediately. I'm going to cut the grass today, riding mower but it's a half acre.

Funny you mention that. At the end of summer, there were a few places we considered visiting and I avoided them for the purpose of avoiding a mandatory test. Now that I'm back home I want to get tested. Can you believe that you can't easily get tested again here? The only way is via private doctor.

I've heard stories of people testing positive for a long time. Such a weird virus. There is a reason Doctors have been trying to get everyone to take it seriously.

Yes. Down with flu-like symptoms, then a cough for 6 weeks. Be prepared for waves of exhaustion after it clears.
Yep. I'm very athletic. Workout 5 to 7 times a week and 2 months after the diagnosis my muscles and body still weren't responding to workouts the right way.

Same. Before this I was lifting 6 days a week. Post-covid there were times when I couldn't walk uphill without getting out of breath. Back to kind-of normal now but still feels tough from time to time.

The same here. The weird thing I'm experiencing is muscle fatigue/failure. So let's say I have to walk up 4 flights of stairs. When i get to the top my muscles are burning and dead. I never had that before and I don't know what it is.

Btw I did a lot of research on this in May. I called my doctor. Called a Canadian doctor who did research on Sars 20 years ago. This is normal. I also found a facebook group where a lot of athletes discuss running 5 to 10k a day before covid and unable to run 1k 3 months post covid

I’m 17 days post first symptoms. All things considered, I had very mild experience. On 8/30, I got to feeling a little puny/tired. No big deal... I had a super busy weekend including lots of time outside and thought I was just run down + allergies. Early in the morning of 8/31, I popped a fever. Uh oh. This isn’t just allergies. Got tested that day... not sure what strain but my labs say SARS-CoV-2 NAA. My fever lasted less than 12 hours, no cough, no headache, no traditional symptoms other than I was EXTREMELY tired for 4 days. Like work on the computer for 3 hours and need to take a nap... repeat. On day 7, I tried to do some yard work and my body said NOPE! 30 minutes outside = 3 hour nap. Decided not to push things for the next week. Since then, no issues.

One weird thing I noticed last night is that my tolerance for wine is different. I had 2 glasses over like 3 hours with a girlfriend... I didn’t get tipsy or buzzed, but my equilibrium was MESSED UP! I felt a bit unsteady after 1/2 a glass. When I went to bed, the room was spinning. I was going to watch something with subtitles on Netflix and when I tried to read the bottom of the screen, I about puked. When I drink, I have to be HAMMERED to have those kind of feelings, and I wasn’t anywhere close to drunk.

A friend knows several people who have had it and many report “brain fog” or inability to concentrate. I may have had a little of that, but attributed it to the OTC meds I was taking for allergies. Another friend has had the chronic tiredness for 6 months... but he was BAD... like induced coma/ventilator bad.

I got it back in May. At first I thought it might be allergies but then my stomach got upset and I got nausea. My doctor arranged a test and it showed positive. I went home and rested for two weeks. Was fatigued and still stuffy. After a few days I felt better. Doctor said to just take it easy for a while. It passed on in about three weeks total.

Talks a little bit about the strains, but one of the things it also touches is the effect on amino acids; which may explain your muscle issues.

Get well soon and best of luck

Wife had it. I was stuck with her in house with kids for 2 weeks. All my test came back negitave. Seems like a very mild flu
Your lucky. This mild flu has talked 5 of my friends. Ages range from 50 to 78. Two were in medical field, and two had other issues as well. The other was jus wrong place at wrong time. Have one friend who got it twice. Said he is not over the 2nd time yet and it been two months. Seems they all have had serious breathing issues.

the wife said it felt like a weight on her chest, but not horrible. she slept elevated and that helped her.
