if you loved me would the taste of badly cooked, burnt food suddenly be endearing?

If I loved you, and you made it for me, yes, it would be be endearing...

if i loved the man the sensation of beard would still be just as unpleasant and rash inducing.

I have never given a woman a rash... I don't know what the other men with beards you gals know are doing with theirs...

My 2 cents when it comes to women liking beards or not is this:

No matter what, as a man gets older he will become hairier. It might not always be in the same places and the same amount as other guys, BUT as a guy gets older his face / body will become hairier.

There are generally two types of ladies when it comes to understanding this:

1) Those that understand it and go for hairy, generally older, more masculine men and they like things such as beards, hairy chest, etc.

2) Those that don't understand 'you get hairy as you get older', generally go for the young, hairless, a little less mature guys and those ladies like things such as completely shaved faces, hairless bodies, spikey gel hair, etc.

I'm not trying to finger point at anyone specific per se, just stating what has been my personal observation.

body hair doesn't bother me.
in fact i love a hairy chest.
but then i don't spend a lot of time snogging anything other than his face. so they don't blotch my face up.

I had never seen my Dad without a beard until I was about 26, and he was the only man in my life who had a beard. So I associate them with him. Therefore, I wouldn't want to be intimate with a man with a beard.

There's not a single person on this planet I would be willing to shave-off my beard for. :p

Same here, I love mine and refuse to get rid of it under circumstance or for anyone, thankfully my gf loves the way it looks on me too so its not a problem. I keep it trimmed and well groomed and it adds to my rugged looks, I shaved it off once and looked like a real douchebag so that was the last time I did or will do it.
Thank the beard god, I love beards and feel it is morally wrong for a gal to request a man shave his beard off.

I guess it's good that my wife wanted and likes my beard.Cause I will not shave for any woman.
oh honey I would cry till it grew back if you shaved it off.

Love beards on my men, love stubble, love the roughness. Must be clean, though, and not Rip van Winkle long.

The only reason I have facial hair is cause without it, I look much younger, and IMO less handsome. My girlfriend now says she didn't really dig facial hair, but after meeting me she loves mind :D I have a full beard kinda, don't have the neck thing going on, but I always trim it with a comb and electric shaver so that it never gets long at all, but it's still very noticeable.
