I haven't read what your original topic was about and I honestly do not care, but what I care about is the sentence you posted. I know you said it in a specific point, but I am a conservative. And I think I do have a heart. The idea of conservative we have is wrong. It is not "pray to the old stuff", it is about, viewing happenings from the distance. And when you have enough information to decide, you can do so.

Conservative is not necessarily bad. I as example always have the customer (at work) in the viewpoint. The bait has to be tasty for the fish, not for the fisher. Go slow, go with thinking about it, and never rush decisions.

Nobody likes to think of themselves as a bad person. But heaps of people are. Hell, I am a bad person. I work everyday to be a better person. Because I want to be good.

If you voted for Trump you are not a good person. If you are Anti-Choice you are not a good person. If you believe likes like welfare queens and all immigrants are either drug runners or terrorist you are not a good person. If you think gay and trans people don't deserve the same rights and protect as everyone else you are not a good person.

If none of the above are true for you rethink what you are gaining by hanging on to conservatism. Cuz you are aligning yourself with the wicked and cruel.

I totally support you with this. But the original meaning of conservativism is about everyone expressing themself, but if it is for the masses, you have to do little steps. You can't change things for everyone just because one wants to.

I am sure US conservativism is totaly different, tho. But I have the benefit of thinking about my political point and the origin of it, as it is important for me over here atm. With the far right growing and the EU election coming close, it is time for everyone effected, to consider thinking about why you believe in what and what the original meaning behind was it, or atleast the interpretation.

But if you talk purely of the current state of US conservatives, I am all with you and would NOT consider myself one.

I do that when I'm taking my pills in the morning. I wouldn't say I throw my head back. I take a big swig of water, tilt back, drop them in and swallow.

It doesn’t even make sense to me. At all. How can a person read well enough to find a website, but not read well enough to make sense of bolded sections? Or how can a person not take 5 - 10 minutes reading and scoping the place out before posting asinine questions or comments? Geez, I think I lurked a week if not more before I made my first post. Those little sponsored "news" stories one finds nested among daily articles that read something like "25 scandalous pictures from yesteryear that can't be shown now."

These usually involve racy pictures (by TODAY'S prudish PG standards) that nobody thought anything of back then... which is what ACTUALLY pisses me off. Like wtf happened to us?

ANYWAY, I don't even click on these, ever since I fooled around and started reading one of these on my android a couple of years back, when, by the 4th or 5th pic something bizarre started happening to my phone. Thank goodness it was protected with an anti-virus app, otherwise it'd have probably DIED.
