But comparing it with seasonal flu is so irresponsible. A significant proportion of the population are immune to the flu, we're able to vaccinate more vulnerable sections of society against it as well. With this virus, we are immunologically naive to it, and a significant proportion of the population who get it are hospitalised. Our healthcare systems are not built to deal with epidemics anyway. The novel coronavirus has a significantly higher reproduction rate as well. About the only similarity that actually is valid is in how Covid and flu kill the people they kill.

The PPE equipment that prevents you from getting it should be reserved for healthcare workers, but just keeping your face covered while you breath in closed places helps reduce the risk that you're spreading it if you're asymptomatically carrying it
